URGENT Foster Home Needed
December 30, 2018

Meet Amy and Dude. These two are a bonded pair and coming into rescue because their owners passed away. Amy is a 6 year old brindle female and Dude is a 4 year old, fawn male. Their story is truly a sad one. They were transported by a family member to MA, to help find them a forever home. They are currently staying with a vet and will need placement as soon as possible. We are looking to keep these two together as Amy follows her brother lead. She is the more cautious and apprehensive one out of the two. Dude is very curious and has no problem checking new things out. After a few minutes with our volunteers, they both warmed up and wanted nothing but affection. Dude and Amy are absolutely sweeter than sugar and have been through a lot with losing their family members and being uprooted from GA to MA. We do know they have been around children, so we will consider kids 12+. They are not fans of cats, so no kitties for these two. We are unsure at this time how they are with other dogs, so for now, they need to be the only two in the home. They walk well on leash with a little bit of pulling, but respond very well. It was reported that they were used to a fenced in yard for their exercise, and were not properly socialized as their human mom had become rather isolated, so these two will need a home with a fenced in yard. While curious and questioning of strangers, their hearts open and warm up to everyone they met very fast. They were very gentle and playful after they warmed up to our volunteers. Dude and Amy need a loving home quickly. If you can find it in your heart to open your home to this beautiful pair, please fill out an adoption application on our website.
