This is Mikey. He is GORGEOUS 7 year old, happy go lucky boy that found himself in the pound after his owner, a homeless gentleman, could no longer care for him. We met Mikey and here's what we learned. He needs a bath, like yesterday. Poor guy smells like urine and feces :( But, that's an easy fix! He has a few pressure sores on his elbows, likely from laying on hard surfaces. Mikey may or may not be deaf and we really won't know until we get him out of the shelter into a calmer environment. He wasn't phased at all by a growling barking dog and it was very very hard to get his attention, even with a squeaky toy. He has not been dog tested and it's not possible to do where he is, so we will place him as an only pet until we can get a better handle on his physical and mental status. Mikey is a jumper and lacking in basic manners... But, again, these are things that can be worked on in a less stressful environment.
