Jetta is recovering amazingly . It's like she never had surgery. She is such a sweet girl. She is walking a lot better on leash and looks forward to her walks now. I had her off leash in the park yesterday morning with 10 other dogs and she was the bell of the dog park. She ran and ran and ran. She was a little apprehensive about swimming but you could tell she wanted too. She is truly a pleasure to have around.

Jetta has been with us now for two weeks and is settling in nicely. She is beginning to explore and making friends with our resident boxer (Oscar). There have been no signs of food aggression or dominance and our resident boxer has been very good with her. Jetta has been doing great with basic commands although she has charged the fence at passerby’s (been working on that to try and curb that behavior by re-directing her and it’s been working so far). Her personality is starting to come out and she loves to snuggle with you on the sofa and watch TV –she especially enjoys watching the soap’s. Jetta is still learning how to walk on leash and in just two short weeks has made enormous progress. She loves her crate especially if there are treats involved and she has gained one pound (but she tells me that she wants to stay a size two). Her surgery went well and her progress is phenomenal-it’s been a week and already she wants to  jump and run around. Her energy level is definitely unparalleled to our resident boxer. She is a definite joy and a special girl with lots of love to give!!!

Meet Jetta!  Jetta is a very sweet, 8 year old female that is coming into the program as her current owners are relocating and unable to take her.   She is currently not getting enough exercise in her current home so she has a lot of energy for an 8 year old.  Her new home will need to be sure she gets a daily walk to burn off some of that energy.  Jetta will be a joy to any new family! she is very food motivated, so she will do anything on command if she gets a cookie! She is very affectionate and loves to be around her humans.  She is crate trained and does very well on car rides.  Jetta is also use to cats, as she lived with a cat in her current home up until last year.  She's been to doggy day cares and always has a great report from her play times with other dogs.      Check back soon as we get to know this beautiful lady in her foster home.
