Kayla is really starting to settle in with us.  She is such a love.  She has started her heartworm treatment is seems to be tolerating it well.  We have her on a special diet and are keeping her quite while she recovers from the treatments.

Bridget (who has been renamed Kayla) has been with us for a about a month now and she is doing great.  Kayla is a very good girl in the house, she has not had any accidents and is not destructive.  Kayla loves her crate and gets in it with no trouble.  She is getting more comfortable with us and is playing with her toys more every day.  She loves to walk in the park and is great on the leash except when a dog or cat is around but she will sit on command so they can pass by.  Kayla does not bark much but will howl when she hears a fire truck (she has a very pretty singing voice).   She is such a sweet little Boxer and a pleasure to have around.  We will be starting the medication for her heartworm soon.  Please check back soon for updates as we get to know this pretty little girl.

Bridget arrived at her foster home and is starting to settle in.  She is a sweetheart!  We had Bridget brought up to date on her vaccinations and found that she tested positive for heartworm disease.  Bridget will be seeing our vet next week to have blood drawn to determine exactly what stage she is in.   She will be receiving treatment and recovering in her foster home.  Please check back soon as we get to know this beautiful girl.

Meet Bridget, our newest member! She is a beautiful fawn girl who is approximately two years old. Unfortunately, she was found as a stray and nobody claimed her. She loves people and is said to be very sweet. She reportedly has shown some aggression towards dogs so until we can fully get a handle on her dislike of other dogs, we will be placing her as an only dog and no cats as well since we have no idea if she will like them.  We will also be placing her with no children or older children.  Please stay tuned as we get to know this beauty a little better in her foster home.
