Jake is adapting very well to his new home! He is a typical goofy, smart, and wiggly boxer boy. He absolutely loves being with people and loves to snuggle and/or take any attention you are willing to give. He is also great with the kids and enjoys playing with them. He does well during the day and has moved up to being baby gated in the kitchen when we are not at home. Jake will need some resocialization work with other dogs. He generally does very well on leash but reacts to other doggies walking or even barking nearby.  He has tons of great boxer personality and we are happy to have him as part of the family.

Meet Jake!  This handsome boy is coming into the program as he is not getting along with the other male Boxer in the home.   Both males are on the dominant side and they can’t seem to work it out.  Jake is a 6 year old neutered male who is a handsome mahogany color Boxer.    He’s just a sweetheart.   He loves people and he loves to walk.   He’s been around kids and is fine with them.   Both males are dominant, and these two can’t seem to work it out.   Jake lived with a female dog and was fine with her.   He’s just a bit of a dominant male.   We’d like to see Jake go to a home as an only dog or with a submissive female.  Jake is crate trained and knows his basic commands.    No cats for Jake, he wants to do a little bit more than play with them.   Check back soon for updates as we secure a foster home for this handsome guy!
