Meet Lilah!  a 7 month old, very sweet Boxer girl!  She is coming into the program because she is not getting along with the resident female dog in her home, but seems to do well with male dogs.  Lilah has shown signs of guarding her toys and food with the resident female dog, so her new home will need to work with her on that.  Lilah LOVES her crate and is more than happy to spend a few hours with a Kong, chilling out.  She needs work with walking as she will pull on leash a bit, so an easy walk harness (front pull) would be a great tool for this little girl!

When she sees people out and about on walks, she can become distracted and bark and pull, but she is  easily redirected with a noise or snap of fingers.   Lilah has lots of boxer puppy energy; she will need lots of exercise to get out her energy.  She has had only two formal obedience classes, so her new family MUST be willing to attend a 6-8 week obedience class with her.    She does know some of her basic puppy commands, but still needs work with jumping.     She has no issues with  male dogs or strangers.

She is a very sweet, small, friendly boxer who would love lots of attention.  Please check back soon for updates as we get to know this sweet little girl in her foster home.

Beyla (formerly Lilah) has been having a good few week settling in and getting used to her new surroundings.  She is doing well with the training, and responds really well to cheese!  Her daily walks are getting better, and she feels secure walking between us, as she tends not to pull when that happens. She really likes to play, and especially likes to snuggle.  She is learning to greet people appropriately at the door, and is having some success.  We are excited to have her and are looking forward to having the training balance her anxiety out, thank you for choosing us for her forever home!

Lilah arrived at her new today and is settling in nicely.  She is the sweetest little girl and is very eager to learn and please.  Her new home will be working with her and a  trainer to get her the help she needs when greeting new people and other dogs.

Lilah continues to settle in her foster home and is recovering from her recent spay.  She needs work on socialization and meeting new people. We had enrolled her in a basic obedience class and she attended two classes, but we needed to pull her as she was very reactive towards others dogs.  She will need a home that is willing to work with her and a trainer one on one for awhile so that she can learn how to be a dog.    Lila is a very sweet, very persistent little girl that is eager to please and learn.  In the right home, she will thrive!  She will need a savvy home that is familiar with the breed and familiar with working with a dog that can be reactive.
