Boo (aka:Booga)

May 17, 2012

Boo has settled into his new home very nicely while getting to know his new family.  He is the sweetest, most gentle dog we have ever met.  He tolerates anything you do with him, whether it's putting a harness on him to walk or wiping his paws when he comes in from the rain.  He fell right into our routine like he had been with us since he was born. And he is quite smitten with our friend/neighbor's Chug. They love to play in our backyard and chase each other. While we would like to see him put on some weight, he is eating well. Treats or toys he can take or leave.  All he wants is our love and attention and who could resist that face!  He is just the perfect dog for our family and we are so thankful to have him with us.

Booga arrived at his home today and is settling in nicely.  Check back soon as we get to know this handsome boy a little better!

Meet our newest member, Booga!  Booga is a very sweet 1.5 year old boxer  boy who is coming into rescue because his family does not have enough  time for him. Booga is a little shy when first meeting new people but  he  opens up quickly. He loves all dogs, big, small, males and females and  he ADORES children. He is currently living with a 2 year old who he is  wonderful with. We do suspect that Booga will not get along with cats  so  we will be looking to place him in a home with no cats. Booga was hit  by  a car as a puppy and sustained a break to his back left femur and front left leg.  Both breaks were “clean” and Booga underwent surgery to fix both legs at Tufts Veterinary Hospital.   He has made a full recovery and is thriving.  He will be undergoing an x-ray in the next two weeks to confirm that his injuries are fully healed and that the plates in his legs have not shifted. He needs a little help with  house training. Just some consistency and he'll get it in no time.  Whoever adopts Booga will be required to go to basic training with him  to teach him the basics and to bond with him. Please think about  opening  your heart and your home to Booga.
