Duke

March 17, 2012

Duke had a wonderful transition into our home. He has brought such a powerful, positive and loving feeling to our family. Duke is a loving and calm boxer. We all love him so much already. He loves going on walks and being out side with our family. The kids love him and he is great with our kids too! He and Ziggy ( our other boxer) get along great! They now have their own crates and love their own space. He is a wonderful addition to our family and we would not know what to do without his love and affection!

Meet Duke!  Duke is 3 year old Brindle boy that is coming into the program because circumstances have changed for his owners and they no longer have the time to spend with him.  He is an overall sweetheart and knows his basic commands, sit, stay, come and down.   Duke was crated trained but has recently been given free roam of the house and he does fine.  He is not destructive.  Duke is currently living with a 1 year old child and he does well, but because he is a very playful, energetic boy and doesn’t realize his size, we will be looking to place him in a home with older children or no children.  Duke lived with another male dog and did great.  He has been socialized with dogs since he was a puppy.  He has not been around cats, so we are unsure how he would be them.  Duke is use to a fenced in yard, so he is not currently being exercised.  We will be looking to place him with a family that give him the daily walks and exercise a young boxer needs.  Check back for updates as we secure a foster home for this handsome boy!
