Rocky and Rosie have settled in quite well.  They are sweet dogs who seem willing to please everyone.  They are getting along with the cats very well and they actually seem to like each other.    They love to go for rides in the car.  They had a play date with two other Boxers (a male and a female).  Rocky was not aggressive at all with the other dogs and after slow introductions they all got along.  Rocky was actually submissive with the other dogs and did great and enjoyed playing.  We have found out that Rocky likes to counter surf just a little bit so we are working on that.   He doesn’t do it often but we are keeping an eye on him and he listens well so we are sure he’ll stop that soon enough.  They love to go on walks and they are just two very happy dogs who we love very much!

Rocky and Rosie are the sweetest couple.  They are really starting to settle in with our family and have been a joy to have around.  They are both very smart dogs and we are working with both of them on a daily basis with walking and with their commands.  They have brought much joy into our lives already!

Rocky and Rosie have settled in quite nicely.   The cats have been coming downstairs to see them and are very curious.  Rocky and Rosie are curious as well.  They  don’t chase them at all, they pretty much ignore them.  Rocky and Rosie are very loveable and really love the attention they are getting.   They are both walking well with their new harnesses and get a couple of walks each day.  Rocky is a little piggy with the food so we have to make sure he doesn’t eat all of Rosie’s!    We just love them so much and are happy to have them in our family.

Rocky and Rosie arrived at their new home today and greeted everyone with happy boxer wiggles and kisses.  Please check back soon as we get to know this adorable pair a little better.

Meet Rocky & Rosie!!  Rocky is a 9-year-old  male brindle boxer and Rosie is and 7-year-old fawn boxer.  Rocky and Rosie are a bonded pair of boxers whose owner can no longer care for them.  Rocky knows his basic commands and walks well on a leash.  Of the pair he is the more shy and quiet one who has become lazy as he has aged.  Rosie, although 7-years-old, still has the energy of a puppy.  They have had minimal training and will need an owner who is willing to spend time teaching them basic commands as well as exercising them appropriately.   The pair have been raised with children and do well with them.  They have had little socialization with other dogs and while Rosie seems to do okay with other dogs,  Rocky is not good with other dogs and does want to remain dominant when meeting any dogs.  He will need an owner that can help socialize him with other dogs slowly.   Both dogs are great with all people.  Rocky & Rosie have been together since they were puppies and are strongly bonded, so we are looking to place them together.     If you can find it your hearts to help these babies, please email us at info@theboxerrescue.org
