It’s been over a year since Primo came into our lives and things haven’t skipped a beat. He continues to play all day long with Mia, our boxer girl, and they absolutely love each other. He’s so laid back that he’s ok with letting her act like she’s in charge because deep down inside he knows the truth. He likes to be outside but only if the weather if perfect, the cold and rain are not his style. Going for a walk is fun for him and he makes us laugh as he patiently controls himself when you can see he is dying to chase those rabbits and squirrels. His greatest joy is hanging out with his “dad”. They are like two peas in a pod, two old men sleeping on the couch together, going for a ride to Home Depot, and just plain hanging out. Primo the Prince, also known as Primavera, and Primodonna is without a doubt the Best Boy EVER!.

Primo has managed to wiggle his way into our hearts in a very short period of time. We lost our Golden Retriever right before the holidays so we have all been sad, especially Mia our boxer. When Primo arrived at our home life was renewed again with all the wiggles, kisses, and hours of play. He’s a great boy, eager to be part of the fun. Primo the Prince and his lighthearted spirit have made the entire house come alive but when that doorbell rings, you would think we were a home with 15 dogs (gotta work on that, for the sake of the pizza delivery guys).

The Boxer Rescue goes above and beyond, not only for Primo, but also for China, Max, Murphy and all the other dogs in need. When they say “It’s all about the dogs”, they really mean it. Primo has a forever home and we now have a treasured new family member. It’s the greatest gift!

Primo is settling nicely, He has been wonderful with his foster sister, Mia and they have been enjoying each other’s company.  Thankfully, Primo finally stopped snoring at night so everyone sleeps fine now. He has been more than well behaved with other dogs and people, but no one dare walk into our home uninvited. Besides the excitement that travels through the house once the doorbell rings, Primo is easy going. Very laid back. He lets my kids roll him over, hug him, and play with him all day long. He fits into our family with no problem at all.

The only obstacle we have come across is fattening this big boy up! I've never met such a picky eater all my life. I'm cooking more for this dog than I am for the family! Primo the Prince is what he should be called!   Check back soon as we get to know this handsome boy better.

Primo is a GORGEOUS 4 year old  Male Boxer that will be coming into the program shortly.  Primo knows his basic commands, sit, stay, down, potty.   He is good with other dogs and loves to play.  Primo is not crate trained, but does fine with free roam in the house and is not destructive.  He currently lives with two children ( ages 3 and 6 ) and he is fantastic with them, very gentle.

Please check back soon for updates on Primo once we get him situated into a foster home.
